# Input Weave

Turn a set of observations into a single visible artifact. A 6.8-second, 1920 × 1080 composition establishes the feeds, draws each relationship, reveals a photographic page, announces its readiness, and settles into a reading hold. The CLI is a parameterized renderer; arbitrary scene direction still requires authoring.

Example brief: three measurements — ocean temperature, cloud cover and coastal winds — become an Earth climate atlas. Supply an authorized local photograph of Earth and write a rights statement. Change the labels, photograph and result together for a different subject.

## Make a film

Use Node.js 22 or later and FFmpeg. From this Skill directory:

```sh
npm run runtime
node scripts/compose.mjs --brief /absolute/path/brief.json --out ./project --palette porcelain
references/npm/node_modules/.bin/hyperframes inspect ./project --json
references/npm/node_modules/.bin/hyperframes render ./project --output ./film.mp4 --fps 30 --quality high --strict
```

The runtime install uses the bundled exact lockfile. Fonts and GSAP are local assets, with their notices retained. Neither composition creation nor playback downloads assets. No model, account or credential is required. Initial runtime installation needs npm access or a populated npm cache.

Read [the input contract](references/brief.md), [directing notes](references/direction.md) and [verification guide](references/verification.md). The resulting directory contains editable HTML, brief, build record, licenses and local assets; HyperFrames produces the encoded film. Keep that directory beside your rendered output.

## Authoring choices

Choose one to five feed labels, one artifact and one verdict. Use `flow: across` for left-to-right curves or `down` for top-to-bottom elbows. Set `prelaid` when the result must exist before its inputs arrive. Set `tighten` for a closing contraction. Select porcelain, aubergine, tidal or copper without altering motion. Both English and CJK labels are supported by bundled Manrope and Noto Sans SC.

The photograph is mandatory. Supply a JPEG, PNG or WebP with permission to use it. Keep artwork and claims specific to the brief. A vector symbol communicates a feed; it does not replace a photographic result. This tool does not generate images, verify scientific claims or synthesize audio. Films have no audio track.

## Failure boundaries and FAQ

Invalid flow, missing rights, empty feeds, excessive label length and non-bitmap files fail before composition output. Avoid excessively tall images and inspect the central crop. Thirty characters is an input limit, not a guarantee of good typography. Short labels read best.

Need longer copy or a different layout? Author and verify a new composition; do not squeeze text into the diagram. Need music? Add authorized sound in a separate editable audio workflow and verify the final mux. Need online execution? Run these same commands in an isolated local workspace or a bounded Sandbox with no credentials; this package does not create hosted sessions.
