# Unit Census

Use for a measured population split into two to five categories. Each repeated mark represents one unit; counts and rounded percentage shares come from the same input. This is a parameterized renderer for small datasets, with editable HTML, SVG and GSAP animation. It does not invent research or infer counts from prose.

Read [the brief contract](references/brief.md) before preparing data and [motion and review](references/review.md) before delivery.

Run with Node.js 22 and FFmpeg available:

```sh
npm ci
node scripts/compose.mjs --brief /absolute/brief.json --dest /absolute/project --palette tide
node node_modules/hyperframes/dist/cli.js inspect /absolute/project --json
node node_modules/hyperframes/dist/cli.js render /absolute/project --output /absolute/film.mp4 --fps 30 --quality high --strict --workers 1
```

GSAP 3.14.2 and HyperFrames 0.8.30 are pinned by the lockfile. Licensed fonts are included; generated projects contain local font and GSAP files. Preview a project through HyperFrames Studio with `node node_modules/hyperframes/dist/cli.js preview /absolute/project`. Preserve the printed project URL while reviewing.

Choose `tide`, `kiln`, `orchard` or `inkstone`. Keep the dataset identical when reviewing palette differences. The generator validates density and loads local Latin and CJK fonts before declaring readiness. A layout that cannot fit its text rejects readiness; shorten the brief rather than hiding overflow.

Outputs are silent. Add commissioned or licensed sound only when requested, with an editable audio project and a verified mix. The package requires no paid service, credentials, source footage or network media fetch. Dependency installation needs an npm registry or a prepared npm cache.

Do not ship generated projects, rendered examples or user data in the reusable Skill ZIP. Preserve [dependency notices](references/licenses.md).
