DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is a big upgrade over DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, and it’s super fast. I gave it the whale breach test and compared it with Kimi K3, since it beats Kimi in benchmarks. Its one-shot attempt came out with the colors completely blown out, and the whale wasn’t good (image in replies). So I capped it to $2.50, the same amount Kimi K3 spent on its one-shot, and Kimi still did better. It’s better than V4.1 and GPT 5.6 Sol, but not on par with Opus 5 or Kimi in frontend and 3D.
